Wireless Electronic Locks
Locks are generally electronic and wireless to make the installation easier, and can thus work autonomously, powered through batteries. Furthermore, it will always be necessary to have the corresponding mortise inside the door.
The most common types of locks are the European ones, as they are comfortable and safe, thus guaranteeing its quality. For instance, the latches are designed in such a way that they allow a smooth closing, avoiding door slams and favoring comfort. Furthermore, as security measure, they usually include a tiny latch that is engrained when the door is closed and prevents the opening from outside with the typical latch-robbery systems.
Types of electronic lock systems for hotels

- Date and time card
- Room number configuration card

The usual identification way is through radio frequency cards, usually in high Mifare frequency. Currently, in All Inclusive hotels, it is common to see the use of bracelets which may also have the radiofrequency chip for the identification function, and to see the type of system chosen by the guests, as well as for opening the doors of rooms and common areas.
Many common zones can need the Access Control, for example, to access SPA or Gym zones. In this case, there are controllers and readers that can connect to hotel management softwares, so that the guest can use the same card or bracelet used for the room.
