Where performance, quality and ease of use are paramount, you’ll find Advanced on the wall. Advanced is a global leader in intelligent fire and life safety systems and operates in around 80 countries across the globe.
Made in the UK, Advanced’s systems are approved to the major international EN and UL standards, and a wide range of regional and local codes. Its fire systems are specified on some of the most high-profile developments of the past decade, including Western Europe’s tallest building, The Shard, Abu Dhabi International Airport and Westfield Sydney, as well as a host of smaller sites across sectors, where protection is important.
MxPro is the industry’s unbeatable multiprotocol fire panel. Built on almost two-decades of market leadership it offers greater freedom to specifiers, end users and installers and includes two panel ranges, the flagship MxPro 5 which is both FM approved and EN54-2, 4 & 13 approved, and the benchmark MxPro 4. Both come in 1-8 loop formats, are compatible with Apollo, Argus, Hochiki and Nittan protocols and can be networked into 200-panel strong systems.
Available for European, Middle East and South East Asian markets, Axis EN is our highest performance EN54 approved panel range and is approved to EN54 Parts 2, 4 and 13. It is certified by FM Approvals to EN54 Parts 2 and 4 and combines 1-8 loop fire panels configurable up to 200 panel networks with a complete range of wired and wireless loop devices and powerful peripherals. While Axis AX is our highest performing UL 864 compliant panel range and comes complete with digital audio.
Both Axis EN and Axis AX systems are the result of decades of fire alarm and detection experience and research and development involving installers, specifiers, consultants and end users across the world. Both have been designed to offer more power and performance in a user friendly format and multiple advanced features mean they will maintain their performance advantages for years to come.
With false alarms being one of the biggest issues currently faced by fire professionals and building owners today, Advanced’s complete false alarm management solution AlarmCalm, is widely used. It allows a site to be divided into virtual false alarm management zones called Building Areas, which can have unique or grouped settings and highly flexible false alarm strategies to be set for each area.
Verification of alarms is key. Once a signal is detected, AlarmCalm starts a programmable ‘stage one’ verification time. At the end of this time, if the signal is still present the system will go into full alarm. During this time the signal can be confirmed by mode or sensitivity change, for example an optical heat detector switching to heat to verify the signal, or by coincidence detection. If the signal clears the system resets to normal. Advanced’s new intelligent, loop-powered Alarm Acknowledgement device, the AlarmCalm Button, can be used to manually verify if an alarm signal is false, for example from smoke as a result of cooking, this will initiate a programmable ‘stage two’ verification time, giving limited timeallowing a false signal to clear, or otherwise instituting a full evacuation.
TouchControl is another recent innovation available across Advanced’s fire systems. It is a 10” HD touchscreen repeater and remote control terminal. Its unique user interface facilitates detailed and easy network control and supports built-in graphics called Active Maps and zone plans. Active Maps allow any image to be used to define a zone, which are then easily added via software and uploaded via microSD card.
AdSpecials is a dedicated department within Advanced that works with customers to design and manufacture unique panels, enclosures and control interfaces for the company’s fire systems. This can range from simple colour coordination to fully bespoke panel housings that offer environmental protection and specific control and indication.
Lux Intelligent is the latest version of Advanced’s legendary emergency lighting test system. It’s making emergency light testing and compliance more cost effective and easier on sites large and small and now comes with optional cloud-driven, mobile and desktop monitoring and management.
